About
I am an independent documentary photographer who recently migrated from NYC to the Catskills hamlet of Bloomville, NY. Besides photographing garbage collection and rare menorahs for the metro section I have documented conflict and crisis in East Ukraine, South Sudan, and Greece. Since starting work as a photojournalist in 2014 I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Politico Magazine, The Washington Post, Foreign Policy Magazine, and National Geographic online. Before photojournalism I toiled in broadcast news for 6 years in Washington, D.C. where I covered the Pentagon, Capitol Hill, the White House and breaking news in the DMV. In October of 2018, I was a student at the Eddie Adams Workshop XXXI where I learned how to push cars out of the mud and I recently concluded my graduate coursework in photography at the S.I. Newhouse School at Syracuse University.
P.S.: I have completed HEFAT and own body armor.
